Ian Sutherland 

Ian Sutherland is an educator in the performing arts and a writer of music and lyrics for theatre. These disciplines are combined in his work on various performance projects exploring the nature of creativity in performance and meaningful relationship through theatre which form the tenets of his artistic practice.

He currently teaches on the BTEC pathways at ArtsEd, London and is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music.


Ollie Bailey - Bass

Ollie is a London based session musician and songwriter, specialising in neo-soul and contemporary jazz.


Ollie Barnett - Drums

Ollie Barnett is a record producer, audio engineer and drummer based in London. From performing in Jazz, Ollie’s portfolio now spans wide range of genres through his production work, from ambient to pop, country, soul and electronic music. His studio work has taken him from London around the UK, in addition to regular studio projects out in Nashville.

Ben Kwan - Guitar

Ben is a producer, guitarist and artist. Having studied his undergraduate at the University of Nottingham in Music and Music Technology and completed a masters in Music Production at LCCM, he brings his enthusiasm for creating music to this collaborative project. Connecting people with each other to create is his passion, and under his artist name Ben’s Frnds, he creates music and content inspired by the coming together of his circle of friends. His most recent project involves filming every single day of learning trumpet, from his first note to a full song, with aims to share this vulnerable, yet endearing process to the world.

Mahlia Chellembom - SoulStage Founder & Co-Producer

Mahlia is a Swiss–Mauritian actor and singer based in London. She was a 2023 Disney scholar at the Royal Academy Of Music where she completed her master’s in Musical Theatre.

Mahlia performs regularly with gospel choirs and jazz bands, and works as a singing teacher, songwriter, and vocal arranger.
